I now have a Hamilton Beach Brewstation and have decided I do not like this. I have also had a less expensive one in the past, I believe a Protor Silex that just dripped-no frills. I also had a Senseo and gave that away. I didn't care for the flavor of the pods...too strong, and the 'flavors' tasted the same.I would like to know about the ones that put the coffee directly into a thermal carafe. Does anyone have one of these? Are they worth it? Give me your thoughts on this type. I know the other ones the coffee starts tasting bad real quick, how about these?Is it the coffee makers or the coffee that is the problem? Please help! I really love my Senseo coffeemaker but finding less and less stores carrying the pods. Or when they do have them they're as much as $5.69 a bag. Has anyone out there with a Senseo coffeemaker bought and used one of the refillable pods? I'd love to try this as it would obviously make the coffee MUCH cheaper plus I'd have much more variety to choose from and never have to worry about running out - since I could get coffee anywhere. For those of you with Senseo coffeemakers can you recommend other pods you've found that work with the Senseo pod - and make great quality coffee? My girlfriend's mum got a senseo coffee maker for christmas yesterday. We followed all the instructions, flushed the system etc. But it won't do anything other than that. We follow the instructions for making coffee using a pod, but all that happens is the light at the front flashes like it should if its heating water, but while it flashes its not doing anything (supposed to work in 90secs, we left it with light flashing for 1hr after which it turned itself off) The onmly thing the FAQs tell you to do with problems is to flush the machine again, we have now flushed it 8 times. We had a black and decker one cup maker - you know, the kind with the little pods - and it was so loud (made this horrendous vibrating noise) and splattered water EVERYWHERE when you used it. We got rid of it and I was just wondering if all these types of coffee makers do this or if ours was defective or just sucked.
