ok...so im 12 and ive been sharing a bedroom with my 8 year old sister since i was 6. got to design the room but i was realy little so i thought that flowers and light pink and all of that frilly crap would last me til i was old, but now its KILLING me. what my parents said i could do is that i could move intothe guest room (which was my room before my sis was born) and live there. i have to keep the futon in there as well as my twin bed so we can still have guests and i will sleep with my sister. i need some ideas for colors and schemes, but i cant paint the room. i lke modern and bright colors...help me please!!! moreResolved Question: is this a good start for my novel?
i am writing a novel and i am open to constructive criticism regarding the book to improve it. please rate 1-10 (1 being horrible 10 being magnificent) and explain why and how i can make it better thanks! It is eleven p.m. and Angela Simmons is straining her hazelish colored eyes at the glowing computer screen. She saves and exits her potential novel word document and shut off her computer. Swiveling around in her office chair she pauses to observe her 7 year old son Tj who is snoring softly on the futon covered in a Thomas the train blanket and clothed in blue footsie pajamas. Angela switches off the table lamp scoops her young son into her arms and carries him down the dark and narrow hallway. With her left hands he pushes open her son’s bedroom door and lays him on his yellow oak framed twin sized bed. She covers him in a quilt, kisses his forehead and trudges back to her own room. The television set is still on blaring some paid programming show. Eddy is on his side of the bed snoring aggressively. Angela sighs opens her dresser and fishes around for a pajama top. She selects a blue oversized tank top with yellow ducklings on it. She turns the TV set off and slides into bed next to her husband. “Angie?” Eddy grumbles opening a blood shot eye. “Yeah?” Angie replied turning over to face him. “I love you…” Eddy mumbles before falling back asleep. Angie smiles, falls back on her pillow, places Eddy’s fat hairy arm around her waist and drifts into a somewhat peaceful slumber. The next morning Angela awoke with an unshakably chipper spirit, she allows herself to be carefree and even to ignore the bags under her eyes, her love handles and chaffed lips when she glanced in the mirror. She can hear the theme song to Sponge Bob square pants blaring in the living room, she comes to a conclusion that Tj is up. Angela pulls on a red robe over her petite 5’1 126 pound frame and casually walks out into the sun bathed living room. Tj is on the couch eyes glued to the TV screen whilst his uncle Micah Is seated at the kitchen table reading the comic strips and humming the melody of an R&B song that is playing on the radio placed upon the windowsill beside him. “Where’s crystal?” she asks. Clearing a few dishes from the sink. “Sleep,”” Micah answers briefly looking up from the newspaper. “You ain't worried bout nothin but them comics, huh Micah?” Angela asks slightly annoyed, “Nah sis, just what I do in my mean time.” “You ain't got no mean time. How bout you use that newspaper to find a job,” Angela retorts running the faucet over a macaroni incrusted plate. “Ay sis get off my back!” “Get out my house.” Micah is quiet after that. The door to Micah’s bedroom swings open and a grungy looking Crystal waddles out. “Morning June bug,” jokes Angela. Crystal frowns, and hobbles to the windowsill, where like an old woman; she slowly lowers herself to a sitting position. “Ain't no good morning for me,” she says shifting her weight. okay so my sister has been dating this guy for a little over 3years now and on the 7th and 8th of january he slept over for the night. they both slept in the living room on the couch and I slept on the fold up futon also in the same room. okay so my sister man woke up went on the computer, she woke up a little later and told him to come her and she was just huging him and laying beside him. okay so everything seemed fine and the next thing I know her had her head up aganst the wall and calling her a bitch telling , she pushed him to get him off and he's a big guy and next thing he did was kept hiting her against her head like punching her, I tryed to keep track and lost count at 8hits to the head. he had her head against the floor as well well long story short she has a huge cut on her face her for head has 2 bruses from the guy holding his head against hers like trying to head butt her like full force ( pressure against her for head) I don't know why this fight even took place the day before the guy was fighting with my sis over clothing he needed to get at his place but she couldn't find him a ride to go so he got mad. what should she do I want to help her w/ this problem but how do I help make him stop hiting her? any advice I can get would help me thanks . they been 2gether 3years and seems like every time he's mad he hits her to take out anger which isn't right. so what should or can I do to help moreResolved Question: Painting, and deco, colors? I'm just curious and wanted to know if it's anything wrong with a couple to have sex in your child's bedroom. DEFINATELY NOT IN THE CHILD'S BED OR WHILE THE CHILD IS HOME. It'll be like using an extra room if the main bedroom is occupied by another couple. We'd stand the child's bed against the wall and put a futon in there until they are done. Reason why I'm asking is bc soon I'd like to make a dinner and invite my guy-friend/ his friend whom my sis is seeing over for dinner, a movie, and to stay the night with her/ I. He/I will be together and her/him. They (her/him) wants to buy a futon to put in my basement but I couldn't do that to them; they'd need privacy like us that's why I'd rearrange my son's room a bit for their comfort. By the way the four of us are a 'private clique' w/o one couple the other is weak therefore, we need each other (couple) to keep the close knitted connection. NOW, I have a beautiful black Ashton Castle queen bed with the high posts on the head board and that MF is VERY VERY COMFORTABLE---GET YA'LL ONE! ;) THOSE BEDS ARE BEAUTIFUL. But my 'man' and I use that. When my sis came over to stay the night she/ I had to share my bed bc my son was in his bed and I don't really like anyone sleeping on the couch/ love seat. And I surely wouldn't put my guests on the floor I'd give up my bed before that ever happens. I put like 3-4 of my nephs in my bed while I love to lay out on the floor wrapped in a comforter that's very comforting to me. I am very hospitable and I make sure every one that comes over is comfortable etc. Its just a thought. NOW, I know you may say what's wrong with the living room, basement (too many creepy bugs: spiders/ centipedes etc.)? I'd want them (the couple) to... you know be as comfty as us. Just wanna know your opinion bout it. WHY OR WHY NOT? WHAT WOULD BE THE PROBLEM? WOULD IT BE CONSIDERED DISRESPECTFUL AT ALL? Thanks. **IF U GOT SOMETHIN RUDE OR SHITTY TO SAY YOU WILL B CURSED OUT. I have a pretty weird shaped bed room and a lot of furniture to go into it. i have a single bed, a love seat, entertainment stand, dresser and my sis is giving me her boyfriends daughters old bed set, which is a futon, and the little tables. how the heck can i fit it all in my room? my closet is like outside kind of thing, it doesnt hide in the wall so its hard to arrange. let me know. =) thank youi have one of those old houses with the wood panel wall things so i cant paint it since its not my house, we are renting it out. moreSis Futon Links
