I live in an apartment off campus at college. I have a fairly large, wood floored room, full size bed, and not a lot of money. Also I am moving out the end of this semester (but I can't go thru the rest of the semester without something) I've considered futons but haven't been able to find what I want on Craigslist, I'm afraid one will be too big for the space I have. Or too crappy and junky. I don't want to spend more than 100$ on a futon. Are there any other options for a bed that I can use? Like a chair that will fold down to a bed but isn't huge but isn't too small to the point where they will roll off ? I am a delivery driver for a mattress company and I by myself load unload and set up someones bedding take there old bedding away and always ask if there is anything else i can do i am the only delivery person at my job i deliver furniture also anything from KING size beds to solid wood futons and sometimes UPSTAIRS with no help and people never tip one lady asked me if i was thirsty and i said yes this women tells me there is a hose on the way out what a *****my company is a mom and pop shop delivery is not added to the price and is also free my hourly rate of pay is $9.75 i provide a service that i thought was generally accepted to tip the delivery guy i always do becuase they are doing something apparently you dont want to or you would have picked up your mechandise at the store moreResolved Question: How much do futons usually cost?

We will be either living in an 1 bd apartment OR (crossing fingers) a two story townhouse if the waiting list works out. We will be on a very tight budget and will be taking on: old coffee table/end tables (wood), our 2 futons from college (metal frames), his mattress and bed frame from his home, and that's about it... I am considering buying a wood frame futon for our den/play area. I am wondering if it would be durable enough to withstand (a considerable amount of) potential abuse from rambunctious children. The children often play in this area (often loosly supervised and many times unattended for periods of time) and they're grade school boys who can tend to play pretty rough at times. Right now I have no furniture at all in this room. It's a room that doubles as a play area and family room (it is not a formal room at all). I need to furnish it and I need some ideas.
